Adding Custom Cover Pages

This guide will instruct you how to add custom cover pages to your binder.

Show/Hide Cover Pages

E-Ring Binder gives you the option to add custom cover pages to your documents. When added, cover pages will be displayed in the Viewer before each of your documents.

To show or hide cover pages, click the “Show Cover Pages” icon under the “Organize” tab. This will also determine whether cover pages are included when you export documents. See “Printing and Exporting” for more information.

Edit Your Cover Page Template

By default, your cover page will display only the name of your document.

To update your cover page template, right click on the cover page in the viewer and select “Customize Cover Page Text.”

This will display the “Customize Cover Page Text” window.

In the textbox, insert the template that you would like to display on your cover pages.

You can include a document’s name, label, or nickname by clicking the corresponding button. This will add placeholder text “[/name],” “[/label],” or “[/nickname]” to your citation, which E-Ring Binder will translate into the correct field.

For example, if you want your cover page to display “Exhibit 1 - ” followed by the documents name, you would want to enter “Exhibit [/label] - [/name]” into the text box. (You will also want to ensure that you have added numerical labels to your documents. See “Labeling Documents” for more information.)
